Overview
Our clientis seeking an
Accountant
to join their team onsite. The Accountant will support the head office finance function by managing day-to-day accounting operations, bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial records, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting across multiple entities and countries. The role plays a key part in maintaining financial integrity, supporting audits, and ensuring proper control over company funds, vendor payments, and operational expenses.
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping and accounting records for head office and group entities
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations, including bank reconciliation statements (BRS)
- Manage accounts payable, including vendor invoice processing, verification, and timely payments
- Handle vendor management, including reconciliation of vendor statements and resolving discrepancies
- Maintain and control petty cash, ensuring proper documentation and approvals
- Record and monitor expenses, accruals, and prepayments in line with accounting standards
- Support month‑end closing activities, including journal entries and reconciliations
- Support intercompany accounting, including reconciliation of intercompany balances and transactions
- Assist in preparation of financial reports, schedules, and audit documentation
- Ensure compliance with company policies, financial controls, and regulatory requirements
- Coordinate with country finance teams, procurement, and operations for financial data and approvals
- Maintain proper documentation, filing, and audit trails for all financial transactions
- Minimum:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
- Maximum 4+ years of accounting experience
- Strong hands‑on experience in bookkeeping and journal entries, account reconciliation and BRS, vendor management and accounts payable, petty cash handling and expense tracking
- Experience in working across departments
- Analytical and problem‑solving skills
- Proficient with MS Office and other accounting tools
