Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the construction, joinery, fit-out, or contracting industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily accounting operations, financial reporting, supplier payments, job costing, and supporting overall financial control within the business.
- Handle day-to-day accounting transactions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, petty cash, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and accounting documentation.
- Process supplier invoices, subcontractor payments, and client billing.
- Monitor project-related expenses and assist in job costing and budget tracking.
- Prepare monthly financial reports, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Coordinate with procurement, project, and operations teams regarding project costs and payment status.
- Ensure timely collection follow-up and maintain receivables records.
- Assist in VAT preparation, filing, and compliance.
- Support external audits and provide required financial documentation.
- Maintain proper filing systems for invoices, LPOs, contracts, and financial records.
- Assist management with cash flow monitoring and expense analysis.
- Ensure compliance with company financial policies and accounting procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Minimum 2 years of accounting experience within construction, joinery, fit-out, or contracting companies.
- Strong understanding of project accounting and cost tracking.
- Knowledge of VAT regulations and financial compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
