Job Title: GL Accountant
Location: Abu Dhabi
Education : Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance with professional certifications such as ACCA and IFRS preferred
Experience
: 5 12 years of experience in Accounting, Auditing, and General Ledger functions.
Contract : 1 Yr Extendable
Client: Government Entity
JOB PURPOSE- Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a regular basis.
- Prepare and post journal entries accurately and timely.
- Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
- Prepare account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal accounting policies.
- Support internal and external audit activities by providing required documentation and explanations.
- Review and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Coordinate with various departments to obtain financial information and resolve accounting issues.
- Assist in implementing process improvements and strengthening internal controls.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and financial reporting requirements.
