Accountant, Financial Reporting, Tax Accountant

A reputable organization in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced Accountant to join its Finance team. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional with strong knowledge of financial reporting, VAT compliance, and day-to-day accounting operations within the UAE.

The successful candidate will oversee bookkeeping, financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance with UAE regulations while supporting month‑end and year‑end closing activities. • Manage daily accounting operations and maintain accurate bookkeeping records.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) regulations.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain the general ledger.
• Handle accounts payable, accounts receivable, and petty cash transactions.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end financial closing activities.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, UAE VAT regulations, and internal company policies.
• Support internal and external audit processes.
• Coordinate with banking institutions and perform other accounting duties as assigned.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• 2–5 years of accounting experience, preferably within the UAE.
• Strong understanding of IFRS, UAE VAT regulations, and accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP software, with Odoo experience considered an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period will be given preference.
