The Accounting and Tax Senior collaborates with a team of Accountants in the UAE and Mauritius offices while aligning with organizational objectives.
Responsibilities Strategy- Understand the importance of revenue, productivity, chargeability and the client relationship and effectively apply this understanding to daily tasks.
- Ensure that reports are reliable, comply with IFRS and tax regulations, and are submitted on time on a monthly, quarterly or annual basis.
- Be responsible for the delivery of work with the right level of quality and timeliness for Tier1–2 Clients.
- Provide training and guidance to team members focusing on task performance.
- Provide onboarding support to new clients, ensuring minimal turnaround time and high‑quality output.
- Act as the Onboarding Specialist, obtaining information from other teams or clients as required.
- Ensure appropriate controls, policies and processes are adhered to.
- Identify areas for improvement in policies, processes, procedures and systems.
- Implement changes to procedures and guidelines when applicable.
- Coordinate reviews, billing and other internal controls to ensure that they are conducted and observed.
- Collaborate and share knowledge and expertise across service lines and other TMF offices on specific deals.
- Support the implementation and updating of systems.
- Escalate technical issues and knowledge gaps where required.
- Provide bookkeeping for Tier2 Clients and perform quality assurance on financial reports and tax returns prepared for Tier1–2 Clients.
- Build, develop and maintain relationships with clients and auditors as appropriate, acting as a secondary point of contact.
- Ensure the delivery of services in accordance with each client engagement letter.
- Attend client meetings as required.
- Share relevant information and updates with clients.
- Oversee completion of know‑your‑client procedures for all assigned clients.
- Coordinate with the onboarding of new clients.
- Process accounting and tax work for Tier2 Clients.
- Review, test and reconcile the work and data received from accountants for Tier1 Clients.
- Assist with the coordination and preparation of monthly and annual trackers.
- Perform any other reasonable assignment requested by management.
- Maintain a personal utilization of 85%—with 85% of hours aligned to client work and service delivery.

Qualifications- Has completed an Accountancy degree.
- At least 4years of relevant experience gained from a sizable CPA firm or multinational company.
- Tax experience gained in a major international professional firm is an advantage.
- Sound knowledge of IFRS and key updates.
- Self‑motivated, well‑organized with a strong sense of responsibility and a positive working attitude.
- Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Experience in Focus, Quick Books, Zoho, SAP and other key accounting software is a differential.
- Good command of written and spoken English;
Arabic is a plus.
