Job Brief: Our client in the events industry is seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations and provide administrative support. The role involves handling invoicing, payments, payroll, VAT compliance, reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records using Zoho Finance systems. In addition to accounting responsibilities, the candidate will support general administrative functions, including office coordination, vendor management, and employee records, ensuring smooth financial and operational processes.

Accounting

Responsibilities
  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including the preparation of invoices and purchase orders, and the recording of received payments and expenses.
  • Process weekly payment runs and manage monthly payroll activities.
  • Handle renewals of DMCC facilities, including office leases, medical insurance, and company trade licenses.
  • Perform regular bank statement reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
  • Manage VAT filings and ensure compliance with UAE corporate tax regulations.
  • Coordinate with external auditors during audits and financial reviews.
  • Maintain accurate bookkeeping records using Zoho Books and Zoho Finance systems.
Administrative Support
  • Manage and support daily office administrative operations.
  • Order office supplies and monitor petty cash usage and reporting.
  • Coordinate with IT service providers, maintenance teams, and external suppliers to obtain quotations and support operational needs.
  • Maintain employee attendance records and leave management documentation.
  • Coordinate with PRO for visa processing, renewals, and related documentation.
  • Support financial and administrative reporting through Zoho Finance systems.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional proficiency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance-related roles
    .
  • Strong working knowledge of Zoho Books and Zoho Finance systems is highly preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Should have experience handling suppliers.
