Position: Assistant Accountant - immediate start

ADNOC Schools is currently seeking an Assistant Accountant for an immediate start. The current vacancy is based in ADNOC School, Madinat Zayed Campus, Abu Dhabi, UAE (Western Region).

Responsibilities
  • Monitor and verify all receipts against the bank statements and make sure cheques, cash, and bank transfers have been properly receipted and deposited.
  • Manage confirmations of receipts and ensure cash and cheques in hand are deposited.
  • Actively follow‑up late payments and returned cheques with parents.
  • Respond to parents’ requirements and inquiries related to finance.
  • Sign clearance on the Student Withdrawal Forms after all dues have been collected for withdrawing students; act as liaison between the company and external auditors to meet information needs and ensure accurate information is maintained for historical purposes.
  • Accounts receivable reconciliation – ensure Orisson receivables are matched; for any deviations pass necessary journal entries and check outstanding balances of each student account.
  • Monitor and control unapplied receipts by allocating them against outstanding invoices.
  • Monitor and control unidentified deposits and reconcile against monthly collection reports.
  • Collect all required documentation for fee discounts and submit to Central Finance team for review (Western Region only).
  • Issue fee invoices and assist Head of Invoicing during termly issuance of school invoices.
  • Prepare and monitor monthly schedules for tuition fees receivable, registration fees, unidentified, confirmed, unapplied, refunds/bounced cheques, advances and excursions.
  • Monitor ADNOC Group invoicing where applicable and book necessary adjustments.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting & Finance or equivalent degree in Accounts & Finance.
  • More than 2 years of experience in Accounts & Finance, especially General Ledger.
  • Basic knowledge of Accounts is the minimum requirement.
  • Knowledge of Billing & Receivables is an added advantage.
  • Good communication and analytical skills.
  • English & Arabic are mandatory.
