Payroll Officer

- Administer end-to-end payroll processing, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of all payroll transactions
- Prepare, review, and post payroll-related journal entries to the general ledger in accordance with accounting standards
- Perform monthly payroll reconciliations and investigate and resolve any discrepancies
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, tax regulations, and Regulatory requirements
- Calculate and process employee benefits, including allowances, leave encashments, and end-of-service settlements
- Prepare and submit reports within prescribed deadlines
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date payroll records, ensuring proper documentation and audit readiness
- Support internal and external audit processes by providing required payroll documentation and explanations
- Collaborate with HC to ensure accuracy of employee data and alignment with compensation structures
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, and system efficiencies
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in payroll accounting
- Strong knowledge of payroll accounting practices, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes
- Working knowledge of applicable labor laws and regulatory compliance requirements
- Proficiency in payroll systems and ERP platforms (Oracle)
