Senior Accountant

As a Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of our company in Abu Dhabi, UAE. We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented individual with a strong accounting background to join our team. This position is open to individuals of any nationality, but preference will be given to Indian candidates who have experience in English-speaking environments.

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements and reports for management
• Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations regarding financial reporting and tax filings
• Monitor cash flow and prepare cash flow projections as needed
• Conduct monthly reconciliations of all accounts to ensure accuracy
• Review and approve journal entries and adjustments made by junior accountants
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Provide guidance and support to junior accountants as needed

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (Master's degree preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years experience in accounting/finance roles, preferably in the UAE or other English-speaking countries
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, laws, and regulations
• Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail
• Proficient in using accounting software (e.g. Quick Books) and MS Excel
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
• Excellent communication skills in English (knowledge of Arabic is a plus)
• Indian nationality preferred but not required
