Senior Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team in Abu Dhabi, UAE
.

• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience in the UAE
  .
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and tax filing.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Strong experience in bookkeeping
  , accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
• Experience in inventory management, inventory control, and inventory reconciliation
  .
• Experience in daily sales reconciliation and transaction matching for multi branches .
• Ability to prepare monthly financial reports.
• Previous experience in the retail or trading industry is preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good command of English (written and spoken).

• Record and maintain daily accounting transactions.
• Maintain accurate bookkeeping records.
• Reconcile daily sales from retail stores, online channels, and POS systems.
• Verify and reconcile cash, card, bank, and online payment transactions.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
• Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Monitor, reconcile, and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Conduct inventory reconciliations and assist with stock counts.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies between POS, payment gateways, bank deposits, and accounting records.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
• Prepare and maintain VAT documentation and ensure timely tax filing.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and UAE financial regulations.

• IFRS / accounting standards compliance

• Advanced Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, reconciliations)
• Accounting software (e.g., Zoho Books, Quick Books, Xero, Tally, or similar)
• POS and e-commerce platform reporting (e.g., Shopify)
