We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, project accounting, cost control, and financial reporting for construction projects.

Location:
Abu Dhabi
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.
- Monitor project costs, budgets, expenses, and profitability.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and project cost reports.
- Track subcontractor payments, invoices, retention amounts, and payment certificates.
- Review and verify supplier and subcontractor invoices against contracts and purchase orders.
- Monitor construction project budgets and identify cost variances.
- Maintain accurate records of project-related financial transactions.
- Assist with cash flow forecasting and project financial planning.
- Reconcile bank accounts, supplier accounts, and project accounts.
- Coordinate with project managers, procurement teams, suppliers, and subcontractors regarding financial matters.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and applicable regulations.
- Support audits and provide financial documentation when required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Accountant, preferably within the construction or contracting industry.
- Strong knowledge of project costing, subcontractor accounting, and construction financial procedures.
- Good knowledge of accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of UAE VAT and construction industry accounting practices is an advantage.
