Senior Accountant

Syntex MEP is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join its office-based team in Abu Dhabi. This position is ideal for an experienced finance professional with strong expertise in financial reporting, VAT compliance, budgeting, and accounting operations.

The selected candidate will play a key role in managing daily accounting activities, ensuring compliance with UAE financial regulations, supporting audits, and providing financial insights that contribute to informed business decisions.

• Oversee and manage daily accounting operations.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations and accounting standards.
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
• Monitor budgets, forecast financial performance, and control expenses.
• Process payroll while ensuring compliance with UAE labor laws.
• Perform bank reconciliations and maintain healthy cash flow.
• Lead month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Prepare VAT returns and coordinate with external auditors.
• Develop and implement internal controls and financial policies.
• Analyze financial data and provide strategic recommendations to management.
• Supervise junior accounting staff and review their work.
• Maintain accurate financial records and proper documentation.
• Support management with financial planning and decision-making.

• Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Experience with UAE VAT, audits, and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent command of the English language.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership abilities.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail. Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Estimated)
