Ali & Sons is looking for an experienced Internal Auditor - QHSE to support the execution of our Group wide QHSE auditing programme across our diversified portfolio of businesses.
This is a role for an audit professional who goes beyond identifying findings , someone who can understand risk, challenge controls, identify opportunities for improvement and translate audit insights into practical actions that strengthen efficiency, compliance and operational performance.
What You'll Do
- Plan, prepare and execute scheduled QHSE and risk-based operational audits across Group entities.
- Develop audit scopes by identifying relevant internal controls, processes and risk areas.
- Assess the effectiveness and efficiency of internal controls against applicable standards, regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Document audit findings, observations and improvement opportunities clearly and accurately.
- Follow up with management on corrective and remedial actions to ensure timely closure.
- Prepare high-quality Audit Reports and Executive Summary Reports for management.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness and cost savings through audit recommendations.
- Support the development, implementation and enhancement of audit tools and methodologies to improve audit efficiency.
- Create, review and maintain Internal Audit policies, procedures and plans.
- Coordinate and conduct special audits, investigations and ad-hoc assignments with minimal supervision.
Who We're Looking For
We're looking for a detail-oriented and commercially aware QHSE audit professional who can operate independently, challenge established processes and provide practical recommendations that create value for the business.
Qualifications & Experience :
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of demonstrated auditing experience.
- Certified Internal Auditor qualifications for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 and ISO 27001is essential.
- Certified Internal Auditor qualification for API Spec Q1 & Q2 is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of relevant QHSE standards, specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in risk-based operational auditing, internal controls and compliance assessment.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
- Ability to identify risks, assess controls and develop practical recommendations to mitigate them.
- Valid UAE Driver's License.
