Tax & Accounting Manager; UAE) Accounting

Lead monthly close, VAT and CT filings, and free-zone qualifying-income assessments for a growing UAE client book.

Visa and relocation support available where needed.

UAE corporate tax is now real. This role is for someone who wants to run the accounting and tax function for a client book that treats compliance as a matter of professional pride.

You'll run monthly close and quarterly VAT for a portfolio of UAE clients, sign off on annual CT returns, and lead qualifying-free-zone-person assessments on the files where 0% is on the table. You'll build the review process, hire into the team, and set the standard for how Sonsoto talks to founders about their numbers.

• Monthly close and management-account delivery inside a five-working-day cadence.
• Quarterly VAT filings and reconciliations with the FTA portal.
• Annual UAE corporate tax returns, including transfer-pricing documentation where applicable.
• Qualifying free-zone person substance and income assessments, refreshed at least twice a year.
• Review and sign-off of every filing before it leaves the firm.
• Bookkeeper hiring, training, and quality reviews as the team scales.

• Six+ years of UAE accounting and tax practice, including at least two years post-CT.
• Direct experience with qualifying-free-zone-person assessments.
• You have hired and grown a small pod before, not only worked inside one.
• You write review notes that a first-year accountant can act on without a call.
• Comfortable working across UAE, Vietnamese, and international parent-company reporting cycles.

You’ll join a growing accounting team and take ownership of technical standards. We use a single reviewed close checklist per client, single-source work papers, and written go/no-go decisions for filings. If a client's numbers cannot be signed off, we do not file — you have full authority to hold.
