About the Role

Vibes Events is looking for a highly capable and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join the team on a short-term contract basis. In this role, you will take ownership of the full accounting cycle, from payroll processing and bank reconciliations through to financial reporting, audit support, and compliance, ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of all financial records in a fast-paced events and experiential environment.

What You'll Do

Payroll, Banking & Payments

• Process and verify WPS and non-WPS payroll, including preparation of payroll payment files and coordination with banks and exchange houses
• Handle banking transactions, online banking platforms, fund transfers, payment processing, and related financial documentation
• Perform bank reconciliations, identifying and resolving discrepancies, unmatched transactions, and outstanding entries in a timely manner
• Manage general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, supplier payments, customer receipts, account reconciliations, month-end closing, financial reporting, and audit support
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, e-Invoicing, and applicable financial and regulatory requirements
• Independently review financial records, identify discrepancies, and ensure accuracy, completeness, and timely reconciliation of all financial transactions

Systems, Automation & Stakeholder Coordination

• Utilise ERP/accounting systems, payroll platforms, and cloud-based financial tools effectively; leverage finance automation and AI-enabled accounting tools where applicable
• Coordinate effectively with internal stakeholders, banks, auditors, and other external parties; produce accurate financial reports and data analysis using advanced Excel

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related discipline; CA or ACCA qualification is an advantage
• Strong and relevant UAE accounting experience at Senior Accountant level or equivalent, with sound knowledge of UAE VAT, Corporate Tax, and e-Invoicing requirements
• Hands-on experience in WPS and non-WPS payroll processing, bank reconciliations, and full-cycle accounts payable and receivable management
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, data analysis, reconciliation and reporting) and strong working knowledge of ERP and cloud-based accounting systems
• Exposure to finance automation, AI-enabled accounting tools, and digital reporting technologies is highly preferred
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality
