Accountant, Financial Reporting

We are looking for an experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure financial accuracy, maintain compliance, and support month-end and year-end closing activities.

The Role We are looking for an experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting operations, ensure financial accuracy, maintain compliance, and support month-end and year-end closing activities. The ideal candidate is hands-on, highly organized, and comfortable working across multiple business functions in a dynamic technology company.

• Manage daily accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), bank reconciliations, and general ledger activities.
• Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, intercompany transactions, and balance sheet accounts.
• Process vendor invoices, payments, and employee expense claims.
• Prepare customer invoices and monitor collections.
• Assist in preparing monthly management reports and financial statements.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and depreciation schedules.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and assist with tax filings.
• Support external audits and provide required documentation.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational and financial initiatives.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3–6 years of accounting experience, preferably within the UAE.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS).
• Experience with ERP/accounting systems (Zoho Books, Oracle Net Suite, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle, Odoo, or similar).
• Experience preparing financial reports and performing month-end close.
• Knowledge of UAE VAT regulations and compliance requirements.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, SUMIFS, data analysis).
• Excellent analytical skills with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional fluency in English.

• Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA, CA, or equivalent (completed or in progress)
• Experience working in a technology, SaaS, AI, or high-growth startup environment.
• Experience supporting audits and financial compliance.
• Familiarity with automation tools and modern finance systems.
