Senior Financial Specialist

We are looking for a hands-on Senior Finance Specialist to join our team and report directly to the Finance Manager. You will help keep our finance operations accurate, timely and well controlled, with a focus on financial close, payments, staff expense claims, tax compliance and audit support. Support monthly, quarterly and annual close activities, including journal entries, accruals, prepayments, account reconciliations and balance-sheet schedules.

Reconcile bank accounts, payment activity, vendor balances and other assigned accounts; investigate differences and follow through to resolution. Perform trade and wallet reconciliations as part of the month-end close, comparing trade-level raw data from the Big Data platform with records in Net Suite (NS), reconciling wallet activity and balances, and investigating and resolving any discrepancies with relevant teams. Review payment requests, invoices and supporting documentation for accuracy, completeness and compliance with company policies.

Prepare VAT reconciliations, return schedules and supporting documentation, working with the Finance Manager and external tax advisers as needed. Assist with the preparation of corporate tax returns.

Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. At least 3 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, including hands-on involvement in financial close and reconciliations. Experience with payment processing, staff expense claims and approval workflows. Proficiency in Excel and experience using an accounting or ERP system.
