Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Document Controller to manage, organize, and maintain project documentation for large-scale construction and engineering projects. The successful candidate will ensure all project documents are accurately recorded, distributed, tracked, and archived in accordance with company procedures and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain all project-related documents, drawings, correspondence, and records.
- Ensure documents are properly filed, indexed, and stored in both electronic and physical formats.
- Control the issuance, receipt, distribution, and tracking of project documents.
- Maintain document control registers and ensure document revisions are updated and communicated to relevant stakeholders.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, consultants, and subcontractors regarding document submissions and approvals.
- Monitor document workflows and ensure timely processing of incoming and outgoing documents.
- Prepare reports on document status, pending submissions, and approvals.
- Ensure compliance with project documentation standards, procedures, and quality requirements.
- Archive completed project documents and maintain records for future reference.
- Support project teams with administrative and document management activities as required.
- Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Document Controller, preferably in large construction, infrastructure, or engineering projects.
- Strong knowledge of document control procedures and document management systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience using document management software such as Aconex, EDMS, SharePoint, or similar systems is an advantage.
- Excellent organizational and time‑management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Arabic language skills are preferred but not mandatory.
