Librarian Assistant

We are hiring a Librarian Assistant to join our team in Abu Dhabi. This is a contract position with a salary of $1700 per month. As a Librarian Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting the Librarian in managing and organizing the library resources, providing support to library patrons, and maintaining the library's catalog.

• Assist the Librarian in managing and organizing the library resources
• Help patrons locate books and other materials
• Maintain an organized and up-to-date library catalog
• Process new materials for circulation
• Provide customer service to library patrons, including answering questions and issuing library cards
• Assist with library events and programs
• Perform routine tasks such as shelving books and straightening shelves
• Help with inventory management and ordering new materials when needed

• Bachelor's degree in Library Science or related field preferred
• Previous experience working in a library setting
• Strong organizational skills
• Excellent customer service skills
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Attention to detail
• Proficient computer skills
• Fluency in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus)
• Must have own accommodation in Abu Dhabi or be willing to relocate
