Librarian job vacancy in Abu-Dhabi UAE for unskilled worker
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Librarian to join our team in Abu-Dhabi. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining the library’s resources, providing information services to patrons, and managing library inventory. We offer a competitive salary of 1600 AED for the right candidate.
- Organize and catalogue library materials in accordance with established standards
- Maintain records of library materials
- Assist patrons with locating resources and information
- Create a safe and welcoming environment for patrons
- Ensure all library materials are properly stored and shelved
- Assist with programs related to the library, including lectures, workshops, etc.
- Support other staff members as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a library setting
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Excellent organizational skills
- Strong knowledge of computer systems and applications used in libraries
- Excellent customer service skills
- Familiarity with cataloging standards is an asset
