The Community Engagement Developer will support ne’ma’s Community Engagement Manager in the design, planning, and execution of the national community engagement program. This full-time role ensures the smooth delivery of impactful events and activations that promote mindful consumption and reduce food loss and waste (FLW).
As a key community-facing team member, the Developer will help translate strategic direction into on-ground implementation, assist in building meaningful public engagement, co-develop activation content, and ensure all touchpoints reflect ne’ma’s messaging, values, and zero-waste principles. The role requires a proactive and resourceful professional with experience in grassroots mobilization, stakeholder coordination, and event execution.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with the Community Engagement Manager to co-design and deliver ne’ma’s national community engagement program.
- Support the development of activation toolkits, content outlines, and engagement materials tailored to various communities.
- Manage logistics, venue arrangements, vendor coordination, and on-ground delivery, including staffing, materials, and interactive components.
- Serve as the main point of contact with the event management agency for coordination, logistics, and execution.
- Ensure consistent implementation of ne’ma branding, messaging, and sustainability practices, including zero waste guidelines.
- Serve as liaison between Emirates Foundation, partner entities, schools, suppliers, and local community groups.
- Track and elevate risks, delays, or resourcing gaps, and propose practical solutions.
- Manage and regularly update the partner and stakeholder database, ensuring accurate documentation and relationship tracking.
- Support development of impact reports, debriefs, and community feedback summaries.
- Maintain flexibility to travel across the Emirates to ensure successful execution of community activations.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in event management, community engagement, or public activation within the UAE.
- Proven ability to independently manage public-facing events and coordinate multi-stakeholder partnerships.
- Experience working with government entities, NGOs, or national initiatives.
- Bilingual in Arabic and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Knowledge of sustainable event practices and public awareness campaigns preferred.
- Event Planning & Logistics – End-to-end event management including venue coordination, vendor relations, and logistics.
- Stakeholder Engagement – Effective relationship management with external partners, community groups, and government entities.
- Database Management – Ability to maintain and leverage stakeholder databases for communication, reporting, and relationship building.
- Sustainability Knowledge – Familiarity with zero waste principles and integration into event practices.
- Communication – Clear and professional communication in both Arabic and English.
- Problem Solving – Quick thinker able to troubleshoot real-time challenges.
- Mobility & Flexibility – Willingness to travel across the Emirates for site visits and activations.
- Team Collaboration – Works well under supervision while contributing proactively to team efforts.
