Policy Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Policy Specialist to join our team in Abu Dhabi on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of impactful policies within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset and a proven ability to navigate complex regulatory landscapes.

• Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of existing policies, legislation, and industry best practices to identify areas for improvement and innovation.
• Develop, draft, and refine policy documents, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and relevant regulatory frameworks.
• Engage effectively with diverse stakeholders, including internal departments and external regulatory bodies, to gather input and build consensus on policy initiatives.
• Interpret complex data and regulatory requirements, translating them into clear, actionable policy recommendations and guidelines.
• Monitor and assess the impact of implemented policies, recommending adjustments as needed to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
• Prepare detailed reports, presentations, and other communication materials to effectively articulate policy analysis, findings, and recommendations to leadership and relevant parties.
• Manage and oversee policy-related projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards.

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in policy development, analysis, or a related field.
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, or a Bachelor of Science in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.

• Proficiency in policy analysis, research methodologies, and data interpretation.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and relevant legislation.
• Excellent report writing and stakeholder engagement capabilities.
• Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience in project management principles.
• Effective communication and public speaking abilities.
• Strong negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with data visualization techniques.

• APICS CPIM certification.
• SCPro Certification.
• CIPS certification.
• Fluency in English is preferred.
