Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foreman to join our Bridge Maintenance team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. As a Foreman, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing bridge maintenance projects, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities- Supervise and coordinate daily bridge maintenance activities on-site
- Manage and motivate work crews to meet project deadlines and quality standards
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to ensure accurate project execution
- Enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment
- Conduct regular quality control inspections throughout the project lifecycle
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth project flow
- Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues promptly and effectively
- Maintain accurate records of project progress, labor hours, and material usage
- Ensure compliance with local building codes and regulations in Abu Dhabi
- Participate in project planning meetings and contribute to improving work processes
- Implement and oversee preventive maintenance programs for bridges
- Assess bridge conditions and recommend necessary repairs or improvements
- Stay updated on the latest bridge maintenance techniques and technologies
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Foreman or in a similar leadership role in the Infrastructure Maintenance industry, with a focus on bridge maintenance
- Valid UAE Driving License
- In-depth knowledge of bridge maintenance techniques and best practices
- Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Abu Dhabi
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Physical ability to work in various weather conditions and at heights
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to safety standards
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends when required
