Terminal Site Engineer

Responsibilities

• Perform construction activities per drawings, specifications and project documents in accordance with field procedures and site instructions.
• Balance Advario minimum requirements with JV partner requirements in a JV environment.
• Provide leadership and guidance to ensure contracted work meets practical, commercial, productivity, quality, and contract target completions.
• Study, check, and review all contractor scope as detailed in drawings, specifications and instructions to ensure proper interpretation and compliance.
• Ensure contractors use dimensional control methods and supervise specialist surveying contractors where necessary.
• Verify contractor compliance with all aspects of the Worksite HSE Plan and policy, site regulations, permit to work, and Advario and JV requirements.
• Oversee Quality inspectors and contractor supervisors executing witness, inspection and surveillance checks as per JV Quality Plan and the Quality Control Manager's requirements.
• Coordinate contractor work areas, locations, elevations, and interfaces with other contractors to provide continuous work and meet contract schedules.
• Instigate all quality control checks and tests, maintain records, and ensure availability.
• Ensure practical security and protection of works and that contractor provisions for temporary plant are fit for purpose.
• Confirm that all construction materials, embedded items, and special fixtures are approved, stored, protected, and available at workface locations.
• Promote and maintain Advario, JV, and contractor best practice working relationships.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Assess actual construction progress and benchmark it against schedule and planned progress.
• Conduct daily safety walk‑downs with the EPC contractor to improve site safety conditions.
• Contribute to and review construction method statements; ensure execution follows method statements.
• Identify and document non‑conformance issues related to construction and assist in root‑cause analysis and preventive measures.
• Collaborate with senior leadership, build and maintain trusted relationships with key accounts, and elevate project teams ensuring quality.
• Manage the risk profile of the project, report on existing and new risks, and recommend actions to mitigate them.
