High-rise building project in Abu Dhabi
Role PurposeReporting to the Construction Manager / Project Manager, the Site Engineer is responsible for ensuring that works are being carried out in accordance with the drawings and specifications as per contract requirements and company’s Quality Management and HSE procedures in line with the project programme.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise daily on-site activities for RC frames, foundations, columns, beams, slabs and blockwork to ensure they adhere to approved drawings and specifications.
- Undertake site setting out, levelling, and surveying using total stations or dumpy levels to establish accurate vertical and horizontal controls.
- Inspect formwork, alignment, tightness, reinforcement placement, lapping, cover and concrete casting; perform slump tests and vibration to ensure structural integrity.
- Supervise blockwork construction, checking vertical alignment using a plumb-bob and ensuring proper mortar mix, bonding and lintel placement.
- Identify design conflicts or site issues and provide immediate practical technical solutions.
- Maintain accurate site diaries, daily progress reports, DPR, pour cards, and material usage logs.
- Enforce strict health and safety protocols, including PPE usage and formwork safety, to ensure a hazard-free work environment.
Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in civil engineering or related discipline. Experience working with a Tier1 contractor and RC frame experience essential. Must have a minimum of 5‑8 years of experience as a site engineer for a high‑rise building project in the UAE.
