Senior Projects Manager

Responsibilities
- Communicate continuously with client representatives regarding project progress and areas of concern.
- Participate in planning and formulation of design alternatives and solutions for the construction project.
- Develop and administer project budgets and fiscal controls, contracts, and quality control provisions.
- Oversee all aspects of day‑to‑day management of the construction project.
- Review and interpret proposed designs, architectural drawings, and building specifications for appropriateness to required function or institutional standard, and initiate revisions where appropriate.
- Advise consultants and clients on best ways to achieve required results.
- Ensure project operations comply with design specifications and client requirements.
- Direct work sequencing to expedite delivery and minimize disruption of ongoing operations.
- Inspect, approve, and accept completed projects for the institution, ensuring conformance with institutional standards, building and life safety codes, and architectural engineering specifications.
- Research and prepare various reports on operations, equipment, policies, procedures, or other issues as appropriate.
- Stay informed of quality, environmental, safety, and occupational health policies, manuals, and procedures in Hill International and ensure compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned by line manager or supervisor.
- Degree in civil engineering, project management, or related discipline (adequate work experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree).
- 15+ years of experience on complex end‑to‑end construction projects.
- Mandatory experience in consulting or PMC.
- Previous project experience in residential and mid‑rise construction essential.
- Experience in report writing.
- Experience in contractual administration.
- Must have on‑site project experience from initial design through to handover and completion.
- Ability to think ahead, identify new opportunities, and create innovative approaches to work‑related issues.
- Familiar with design (space & functional analysis, operators/client liaison, cross‑disciplinary coordination, construction interfaces, programming, cost, etc.).
- Strong management of large teams and communication skills.
- Demonstrates determination, desire to succeed, and willingness to progress and develop within a commercial role.
- Excellent working knowledge of Word, Excel, and strong user skill level within MS Office or Primavera.
- Excellent numerical and communication skills.
