Responsibilities
- Daily inspection of the site as per scheduled program.
- Prepare observation report and submit it to the concerned department person.
- Conduct safety induction for all employees, contractors, and visitors.
- Conduct fire extinguisher operation training for all employees.
- Prepare and submit weekly, monthly, and quarterly safety reports to the safety office.
- Prepare and submit accident, incident, and near‑miss reports to the safety office.
- Identify training needs and arrange safety training in coordination with the Safety Engineer supervisor.
- Identify areas where safety representatives are not available and make arrangements to cover those areas.
- Attend all safety issues that are reported or noted.
- Ensure safety requirements are met by all contractors and sub‑contractors working with Barari.
- Inspect machinery, tools, plants, and equipment as required.
- Ensure Toolbox Talks are being conducted for all employees.
- Ensure risk assessments, environmental aspects, and impacts are made for all work activities and copies are available in work areas with the supervisor in charge.
- Ensure safety measures mentioned in risk assessments are followed in all work areas.
- Identify the requirements of safety sign boards and provide accordingly.
- Control traffic management in work areas.
- Check third‑party certificates and valid licenses for all cranes that are operated in Barari.
- Check work permits for excavation, confined space, work at height, lifting, and other high‑risk jobs.
- Maintain good communication with all and maintain a chain reporting system within Barari in terms of HSE issues.
- Conduct noise surveys as required.
- Attend safety meetings.
- Follow up on all reports submitted and ensure corrective actions are taken and reports closed out.
- Attend any additional HSE‑related work demanded by the project company as required, including night work and off‑day work.
- Strong knowledge of OHS (Occupational Health & Safety) regulations.
- Excellent communication, observation, and problem‑solving skills.
- Detail‑oriented, responsible, and proactive.
- Ability to work with all levels of an organization.
