Planning Manager

Responsibilities

• Review and comment on the Baseline Schedule and other schedules, reporting findings to the Controls Manager.
• Continuously monitor the contractor’s major construction progress against approved schedules, ensuring equipment and manpower are adequate; report any shortages to the Controls Manager.
• Examine recovery schedules submitted by contractors and verify that manpower and site supervision staff increases are appropriate.
• Conduct regular site visits to confirm that work progress complies with approved schedules and major milestones; report deficiencies to the Construction Manager.
• Review all daily, weekly, and monthly reports submitted by the contractor, reporting any deficiencies or non‑compliance to the Controls Manager.
• Assess time‑impact claims submitted by the contractor and report the assessment to the Controls Manager.
• Review field design changes and Trend Notices, assessing any time impact.
• Advise the Construction Manager of any foreseen slippage in progress and recommend corrective actions.
• Attend weekly progress meetings and monthly Executive meetings, contributing to agenda preparation.
• Assist Controls Managers in preparing Monthly Progress reports and Monthly Executive Presentations.
• Review the commissioning plans submitted by the contractor, ensuring compliance with the approved Baseline schedule.
• Participate with PMC staff in reviewing the contractor’s Close‑Out Reports.

• Qualified Engineer (BSc or higher).
• Minimum of 12 to 15 years of planning experience on similar projects.
• Fully conversant with Primavera, Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, and related tools.
