Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in Ruwais, United Arab Emirates. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for managing project costs, analyzing construction data, and ensuring financial accuracy throughout the project lifecycle. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will combine analytical expertise with collaborative problem‑solving to deliver exceptional value to our clients and stakeholders.
Your meticulous attention to detail, combined with your innovative approach to cost management, will be instrumental in driving project success in the competitive UAE construction market.
- Prepare and analyze bills of quantities, cost estimates, and budgets with precision and transparency, ensuring all calculations are accurate and comprehensive
- Conduct detailed cost analysis and financial forecasting to support project planning, procurement, and contract administration
- Manage contract documentation, variations, and claims with a goal-oriented mindset, maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders
- Utilize advanced quantity surveying software and computer systems to organize project data, generate reports, and create detailed cost breakdowns
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to monitor project costs, identify variances, and implement corrective measures efficiently
- Prepare and present cost reports and financial summaries to clients and senior management, demonstrating transparency and professionalism
- Conduct site inspections and measurements to verify project progress and ensure compliance with contractual obligations
- Analyze tender documents and provide cost recommendations, leveraging your analytical skills to support strategic decision‑making
- Maintain organized project records, documentation, and databases while ensuring data accuracy and accessibility
- Stay current with UAE construction standards, regulations, and industry best practices to deliver innovative solutions
- Support the team with problem‑solving initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement in cost management processes
- Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related construction field
- Chartered RICS Membership (MRICS) or actively working towards APC (Associate Professional Certification)
- Minimum 5 years of post‑graduate professional experience in quantity surveying
- Minimum 2‑3 years of relevant experience working in the Middle East construction industry
- Experience working on freight facilities or rail projects
