QS & QA​/QC Engineer

Responsibilities

• Study the client drawings for the project structural and architectural layout and prepare the bill of quantities for waterproofing works as per project specifications.
• Prepare estimated quantities and costs of materials, equipment and labour to determine project feasibility, evaluating material estimates based on theoretical plans and actual on‑site necessity; review all project contracts from pre‑ to post‑contract stages.
• Take all actual measurements for all UAE projects of AMIM.
• Arrange joint measurements with the quantity surveyor from the main contractor.
• Obtain approval for site measurements from the client or contractor.
• Follow up payment certificates from the contractor.
• Prepare monthly progress invoices along the highlighted drawing and approved MIR/WIR; prepare shop drawings, slope layout and all required drawings.
• Update daily material reports and progress reports.
• Gather all delivery notes to match with the actual quantity.
• Attend technical meetings on site when required.
• Prepare internal and external report letters and damage reports.
• Prepare method statements and risk assessments.
• Visit the site and coordinate with the AMIM site team to prepare highlighted drawings.
• Conduct regular site inspections to control material usage, assess work progress and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of WIRs, MIRs, and non‑conformance reports.
• Support identification and closure of site observation reports and non‑conformance issues, providing recommendations for corrective actions to all AMIM projects.

• Proficient in AutoCAD.
• Minimum of four years’ experience in UAE.
• Ability to quantify and estimate materials.
• Experience performing work from pre‑ to post‑contract stages.
• Possession of a UAE driving license.
• Preferably experience in waterproofing within UAE.
