Position Overview
Senior Project Surveyor role with AECOM in Abu Dhabi, focused on post‑contract commercial management for a major development project. The position requires strong cost‑control expertise, sound contractual knowledge, and the ability to work independently on site while supporting overall project delivery and reporting to the Commercial and Contracts Lead.

The Senior Project Surveyor is responsible for leading post‑contract commercial management activities, ensuring effective cost control, contract administration, and change management throughout the construction phase. This role involves daily site presence in Abu Dhabi and close coordination with project stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities- Act as custodian of the project cost plan, tracking variances, risks, and forecasts
- Monitor committed, incurred, and paid costs and prepare monthly cost and earned‑value reports
- Prepare pricing schedules and BOQs for new works and variations
- Support procurement activities, tender clarifications, and commercial evaluations
- Administer construction contracts in line with employer procedures and approval limits
- Review contractor payment applications and prepare payment certifications
- Manage change‑control processes, including cost assessments, estimates, and approvals
- Review contractor claims for entitlement, accuracy, and contractual compliance
- Prepare monthly cost reports, cash‑flow updates, and payment reconciliations
- Supervise a Project Surveyor and support the Commercial and Contracts Lead on all commercial matters
- Degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 10 years of experience on large‑scale construction projects
- Strong post‑contract consultancy experience
- Solid understanding of cost control, contract administration, change and claims management
- MRICS preferred
- Ability to travel daily to site within Abu Dhabi with a valid UAE driving licence
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and reporting skills
