Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying.
- 5–10 years of experience in estimating or tender quantity surveying within a main contracting environment.
- GCC/UAE experience across building, infrastructure, and complex construction projects.
- Experience in quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimation, and subcontract package preparation.
- Working knowledge of construction contracts, drawings, and tendering procedures.
- Proficiency in CostX, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and Revit.
- Advanced MS Excel skills for cost analysis, reporting, and estimating functions.
- Experience working with subcontractors, suppliers, and multidisciplinary project teams.
- Experience with iTWO is an advantage.
- Exposure to Design & Build project environments is an advantage.
- Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and contract requirements to determine scope and pricing requirements.
- Prepare quantity take-offs, Bills of Quantities, and detailed cost estimates for building and construction projects.
- Prepare and issue subcontract enquiry packages, and evaluate quotations for technical and commercial compliance.
- Assess subcontractor and supplier proposals and prepare commercial comparisons for review.
- Support the preparation of tender submissions, including pricing schedules, clarifications, and supporting commercial documentation.
- Coordinate with Technical, Planning, Procurement, and Construction teams to develop complete and competitive tender submissions.
- Analyse project risks, cost drivers, value engineering opportunities, and alternative construction methodologies during tender stage.
- Prepare cost summaries, estimate breakdowns, and commercial reports for management review.
- Support budget preparation and cost planning activities during pre-contract stages.
- Maintain and update estimating databases, historical cost data, and market pricing information.
- Attend tender clarification meetings and provide commercial input as required.
- Ensure tender submissions comply with client requirements, contract conditions, and internal procedures.
