Excavator Operator

Job Description Responsibilities

• Operate excavators to dig trenches, foundations, and other earthworks.
• Read and interpret construction plans and blueprints.
• Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on equipment.
• Collaborate with site supervisors and crew members.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and procedures.
• Use GPS and laser systems for precise excavation.
• Load and unload materials as required.
• Clear construction sites of debris and obstructions.
• Monitor equipment performance and report issues.
• Assist with other construction tasks as needed.

• Valid license and any other certificates.
• Experience:
  
  2‑3 years.

• Spatial Awareness:
  Constant vigilance of the surrounding environment to protect ground workers and avoid obstacles.
• Hand‑Eye Coordination:
  Exceptional dexterity to maneuver the boom, dipper, and bucket with pinpoint accuracy.
• Technical Reading:
  Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints, technical drawings, and grading plans.
• Mechanical Aptitude:
  Basic knowledge of heavy machinery to recognize unusual noises or hydraulic issues.
• Certifications:
  
  Industry‑recognized credentials or relevant heavy equipment operator certifications.
