The key objectives for this role are:
  • Assure the quality and integrity of each project, delivering on schedule and within budget
  • Apply in‑house construction management procedures and experience to provide continuity, consistency, and quality assurance
  • Oversee total construction field effort to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with design, specifications, budgets and schedules
  • Manage projects or subsets with values above USD 500 million

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities
  • Responsible for construction and contractor deliverables
  • Supervise all areas on small projects or a subset / discipline on larger projects
  • Manage and execute multiple field disciplines or a subset of assigned construction projects in accordance with contract requirements and company policies
  • Execute work in accordance with project quality standards and requirements
  • Manage and control project cost and schedule of assigned disciplines or sub‑sets on site
  • Manage installation, commissioning and completion of materials and equipment
  • Coordinate field personnel schedules to maximise utilisation and on‑time delivery
  • Monitor work progress and report against plan
  • Define, communicate and enforce safety, quality and environmental responsibilities in your area of control
  • Ensure workers receive appropriate safe, legal and competent training, including health and safety and site‑specific inductions
  • Initiate safety, quality and environmental processes (e.g., toolbox meetings, inspections, risk assessment and control) in accordance with Wood and client requirements
  • Utilise commercial processes to capture variations effectively
  • Coordinate supply and delivery of equipment, subcontractors, consumables and accommodation in accordance with contract and company procedures
  • Understand and manage the industrial relations environment on site, reporting issues as required
  • Collaborate with engineering during design to influence optimise constructability
Qualifications
  • Degree with a minimum of 20 years of oil and gas industry experience, including at least 5 years on major capital projects (> USD 500 million) focused on construction management and site management.
  • Experience with in an operating oil and gas company is highly desired and may be considered in lieu of capital project experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong command of English.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for multi‑week periods and flexibility to adapt work location for project needs.
  • Must be qualified to obtain a CICPA licence and a UAE work visa.
