- Use in‑house construction management procedures to provide continuity and consistency with quality assurance and reliable control
- Oversee total construction field effort to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with design, specifications, budgets and schedules
- Generally responsible for projects or subsets of projects with a value above USD 500 million
- Responsible for construction and contractor deliverables
- Supervise all areas on small projects or a subset/discipline on larger projects
- Manage and execute multiple field disciplines or a subset of assigned construction projects in accordance with the contract and company policies
- Execute work in accordance with specified quality standards and requirements
- Manage and control project cost and schedule for assigned disciplines or on‑site construction subsets
- Manage installation, commissioning and completion activities of materials and equipment
- Coordinate field personnel schedules to maximise utilisation and ensure on‑time delivery
- Monitor work progress and report against the plan
- Ensure safety, quality and environmental responsibilities are defined and communicated to workers within control areas
- Ensure all workers receive appropriate training for safe, legal and competent performance, including health and safety and site‑specific inductions
- Initiate safety, quality and environmental processes within control areas, including toolbox meetings, inspections and risk assessment/control
- Utilise commercial processes to capture variations effectively
- Coordinate supply and delivery of equipment, subcontractors, consumables, accommodation and other project‑specific requirements in line with client/contract specifications and Wood Policies & Procedures
- Understand and manage industrial relations impacting the site and report issues as required
- Work with engineering in design phases to influence optimum constructability
- Degree with a minimum of 20 years in the Oil and Gas industry, including at least 5 years on major capital projects (> USD 500 M) with a focus on Construction Management and Site Management
