Job Description
We are constantly growing and looking for an experienced Project Controls Manager to join our international Operations Control team, working on our newly awarded Oil & Gas projects in UAE.
Reporting directly to the Project Manager, you will be responsible for supervising and coordinating all Project Controls activities either performed directly or through sub‑contractors to ensure that the works are carried out in accordance with the construction schedule, within budget and project quality requirements.
Responsibilities- Assign responsibilities within your team to ensure the best possible delivery.
- Ensure proper scope management of the project in cooperation with the Project Manager, Operations Controls Manager and Contract Manager.
- Establish and maintain a valid, detailed and resource‑loaded project schedule in cooperation with the other project department heads, the project manager, and the respective division team. Monitor the progress of the works (including the one of subcontractors) identifying and communicating areas of concern and proposing mitigation plans.
- Ensure the data collecting system for planning, invoicing, controlling and reporting; prepare the contractually foreseen reports as well as the Company’s internal project control reports as per Company’s procedures.
- Establish the invoicing procedure and supervise its proper implementation.
- Establish the cost control system in co‑operation with the Commercial Manager as per Company’s procedures and supervise its proper application; ensure the smooth co‑operation with all the sections of the Project.
- Ensure proper control over the Project performance compared to the tender and/or budget.
- Ensure proper control of subcontractors’ invoices.
- Actively support building and maintaining positive customer relationships with Employer’s and Engineer’s representatives.
- Ensure people are being trained and developed and prevent work related conflicts.
- Identify problem areas and promote corrective actions.
- Continuously improve the performance of company operations.
- Assess risks to maintain the risk profile within set limits.
- University degree in Engineering.
- At least 15 years relevant experience including 5 years management experience in construction industry at similar level.
- Experience in EPC Projects above US $ 100M with ADNOC (or equivalent) is essential with involvement in all project phases (Engineering, Procurement & Construction).
- Previous employment with leading EPC contractors is highly preferable.
- Capability to perform under stressful situations.
- Substantial cost estimation, cost control, planning, risk management and contractual knowledge.
- Engineering, procurement, construction, pre‑commissioning and commissioning awareness.
- Fluency in the English language.
- Knowledge of project management tools.
- Knowledge of basic financial concepts.

- Has some exposure to Project Management, or an interest in developing in this area.
- Is keen to learn, improve, and grow professionally.
