Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review Bills of Quantities (BOQ), quantity take‑offs and cost estimates
  • Prepare tender documents, analyze quotations and support the tendering process
  • Monitor project costs, budgets and financial performance throughout the project lifecycle
  • Manage variations, claims, interim payment applications and final accounts
  • Review and evaluate subcontractor quotations, payment applications and final accounts
  • Assist in contract administration and ensure compliance with contract conditions, including FIDIC contracts
  • Conduct cost analysis, cost forecasting and value engineering where required
  • Coordinate with project, procurement, commercial and technical teams to ensure effective cost control
  • Maintain accurate records of contracts, costs, variations, claims and commercial correspondence
  • Prepare regular commercial and cost reports for management review
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience as a Quantity Surveyor / Quantity Surveying Engineer in the construction industry
  • Experience in building construction, villa projects, residential, commercial or infrastructure projects preferred
  • Strong knowledge of quantity take‑off, BOQ preparation, cost estimation and cost control
  • Practical experience in variations, claims, subcontract management and final account settlement
  • Familiarity with FIDIC contracts and construction contract administration
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, communication and problem‑solving skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel; knowledge of quantity surveying or cost management software is an advantage
  • Previous experience in the UAE or GCC construction market preferred
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken
