The Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for supporting thepre-contract and tendering functions by accurately calculating quantities from drawings, reviewing specifications, identifying discrepancies, and preparingrelevant tender documentation. This role is essential in ensuring that all project cost data is accurate, clear, and aligned with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Extract and compute quantities fromarchitectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
- Ensure quantity data is accurate,well-documented, and updated with drawing revisions, RFI/TA&TCs.
- Review project specificationsthoroughly.
- Prepare a summary table highlightingkey technical and commercial points.
- Identify and listvendors/subcontractors in line with specified materials and systems.
- Compare drawings, BOQ, and specifications to identify any conflicts or inconsistencies.
- Highlight differences with detailednotes and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Assist in the preparation ofsubcontractor/supplier tender packages including scope, BOQ, and specifications.
- Coordinate with the procurement and technical team to ensure package completeness.
- Draft a concise summary of eachtender, outlining project scope, key requirements, and pricing considerations.
- Prepare and compile tender queries for submission to the client or consultant.
- Track responses and updatedocumentation accordingly.
Experience:
- Bachelor’sdegree in civil engineering.
- 4+ years of relevant experience in quantity take-offs and tendering.
- Familiarity with construction drawings, BOQs, and specifications.
