Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Mechanical Inspector to join our construction supervision team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive mechanical inspections, ensuring compliance with construction standards and building codes, and supervising mechanical systems installation and testing. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with strong supervisory skills to maintain the highest quality standards on construction projects.

  • Conduct thorough inspections of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and structural components, ensuring compliance with UAE construction regulations and international standards
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports and technical documentation, analyzing findings and recommending corrective actions
  • Supervise mechanical contractors and installation teams, ensuring work quality and adherence to project specifications and timelines
  • Verify mechanical systems functionality through testing and commissioning procedures, documenting all results and certifications
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to resolve mechanical issues and maintain project progress
  • Maintain organized records of all inspections, test results, and compliance documentation for audit and regulatory purposes
  • Identify potential safety hazards and non-conformances, implementing corrective measures and preventive actions
  • Provide technical guidance and training to junior inspectors and site personnel on inspection procedures and quality standards
  • Monitor mechanical equipment performance and recommend maintenance or replacement strategies
  • Ensure all work meets contractual requirements and quality assurance standards throughout the construction lifecycle
Qualifications
  • Minimum 6 years of professional experience in mechanical inspection, quality assurance, or related construction field
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and structural components
  • Strong understanding of UAE construction codes, building regulations, and international construction standards
  • Proficiency in technical documentation, blueprint reading, and CAD software
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisive judgments
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English;
    Arabic language skills are preferred
  • Proficiency with inspection software, digital documentation systems, and data management tools
  • Demonstrated supervisory and team leadership experience
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and ability to enforce compliance on construction sites
  • Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple inspection projects simultaneously
  • Valid professional certifications in mechanical inspection or construction quality assurance are preferred
  • Familiarity with construction project management software and scheduling tools
