We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Planning Manager to lead the planning, scheduling, and performance tracking of major construction projects. This role is vital in driving efficient projects execution, risk mitigation, and alignment with project milestones and budgetary goals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, manage, and maintain integrated planning programmes across multiple construction projects, ensuring alignment with contractual requirements, project objectives, and overall business priorities.
- Lead and coordinate planning activities across the project portfolio, working closely with project planners, project managers, and other key stakeholders to ensure consistent planning standards and timely updates.
- Prepare tender programmes and support the development of baseline schedules, methodologies, resource plans, and execution strategies for new projects.
- Establish and monitor productivity benchmarks, manpower requirements, resource loading, and project-level performance against approved plans.
- Consolidate and monitor project cash flow, resource allocation, progress, and forecast requirements across multiple projects.
- Develop portfolio-level reporting and visual dashboards, including S-curves, KPIs, progress histograms, look-ahead programmes, and management reports.
- Monitor critical paths, key milestones, schedule variances, potential delays, and project risks across the portfolio, recommending corrective and recovery actions where required.
- Ensure consistent integration of QHSE requirements within planning processes, project programmes, and execution plans.
- Provide planning support for claims management, including delay analysis, notices, Extension of Time (EoT) submissions, and supporting programme documentation.
- Coordinate planning requirements and performance updates with project teams, internal departments, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Conduct regular portfolio planning reviews and provide management with consolidated insights on project progress, risks, resource requirements, and forecast completion dates.
- Participate in project and management meetings, audits, and performance reviews, ensuring accurate and timely weekly and monthly reporting.
- Drive continuous improvement of planning processes, tools, standards, and best practices across the construction business.
- BS Civil Engineering with minimum 15 years of experience.
- Master’s is an advantage.
- FIDIC / PMP
- Full understanding of Construction Industry: Tendering, Contracts, Engineering, Procurement, QHSE requirements Controlling of Subcontractors, Communication skills, know how for Construction activities, understanding of Authorities Regulations.
- Proficient in Primavera P6 and other project planning tools.
- Strong communication and coordination skills in English (verbal and written).
