- Operate excavators and heavy machinery with precision to execute earth-moving tasks, ensuring adherence to safety protocols at all times.
- Conduct daily inspections of equipment to identify maintenance needs and report any issues promptly to prevent operational delays.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and construction crews to plan excavation projects, understanding the specifics of grading, trenching, and site preparation.
- Maintain accurate logs of work performed, including hours worked and materials moved, to facilitate project tracking and reporting.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in heavy machinery operation is a plus.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience operating excavators in construction or similar industries, demonstrating a solid track record of successful projects.
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred, showcasing the ability to transport equipment safely to various job sites.
- Certification in heavy equipment operation from a recognized institution, ensuring proficiency in safety and operational standards.
