Planning Engineer / Project Planner – Mission-Critical Construction | Abu Dhabi Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer / Project Planner for a major mission-critical construction project in Abu Dhabi
. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling project schedules while supporting the project team in the timely delivery of complex structural and building works.

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6
  .
• Monitor project progress and identify potential delays and schedule risks.
• Prepare accurate weekly and monthly progress reports
  .
• Conduct critical path analysis and recommend recovery plans where required.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams for schedule updates.
• Track project milestones, deliverables, and overall project progress.
• Prepare look-ahead programmes and provide planning updates to project management.
• Support management with project planning, progress monitoring, and reporting.
• Assist with delay analysis, Extension of Time (EOT) claims, and recovery programmes
  .
• Monitor construction sequencing and ensure activities are aligned with project requirements.
• Highlight schedule risks and recommend corrective actions to maintain project timelines.

• Degree in Civil Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline.
• Strong experience as a Planning Engineer / Project Planner on major construction projects.
• Strong proficiency in Primavera P6

• Experience planning and monitoring complex building, structural, or mission-critical projects
  .
• Minimum 8 years of experience on major building or structural projects
  .
• Minimum 8 years of experience in critical path analysis, delay analysis, and recovery programmes
  .
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, project controls, and schedule management.
• Experience with progress measurement, look-ahead programmes, and project reporting.
• Previous UAE/GCC experience preferred.
• Strong communication, coordination, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
