Job Purpose
To support programme and project controls activities through effective planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, cost tracking, performance analysis, and reporting, ensuring accurate project information is available to support timely and effective project delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Support the implementation of programme and project controls processes, procedures, and reporting requirements.
- Assist in developing, updating, and maintaining project schedules, programmes, milestones, and performance baselines.
- Monitor project progress against approved schedules, budgets, milestones, and key performance indicators.
- Track planned versus actual progress and identify schedule variances, delays, and potential project impacts.
- Support the review of consultant and contractor programmes, progress reports, forecasts, and project controls submissions.
- Monitor key project activities, milestones, dependencies, and critical path items.
- Assist with cost monitoring, budget tracking, commitments, expenditure, and project forecasting.
- Prepare and update project dashboards, progress reports, performance metrics, and management presentations.
- Collect and consolidate project information from relevant teams to support accurate and timely reporting.
- Support progress measurement activities and maintain accurate records of project performance.
- Assist with schedule and performance variance analysis and highlight areas requiring corrective action.
- Maintain project change registers and support the assessment and tracking of changes affecting project cost and schedule.
- Support the monitoring of project risks, issues, and opportunities and their potential impact on project delivery.
- Coordinate with Project Management, Commercial, Contracts, Risk, Procurement, Technical, and other teams to obtain required project information.
- Maintain accurate project controls records, schedules, baselines, progress data, forecasts, and supporting documentation.
- Support the preparation of periodic and ad hoc project and programme reports.
- Assist with the development and maintenance of project controls templates, trackers, and reporting tools.
- Ensure project controls information is accurate, consistent, and updated in accordance with established reporting timelines.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline.
- Professional certification such as PMP, PMI-SP, AACE, or equivalent would be an advantage.
- Minimum 4–6 years of relevant experience in programme/project controls, preferably within real estate development, construction, infrastructure, or major project environments.
- Experience in planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, cost tracking, and project reporting.
- Working knowledge of Primavera P6, Microsoft Excel, and relevant project reporting tools.
- Good understanding of project schedules, baselines, progress measurement, change control, and project risk.
- Experience coordinating project information with multidisciplinary teams, consultants, and contractors would be preferred.
