Site Quantity Surveyor

Responsibilities

• Manage and control project costs from inception to completion ensuring financial viability and profitability
• Prepare and submit detailed Bills of Quantities BoQs tender documents and contract agreements
• Negotiate and manage subcontractor agreements ensuring compliance with project specifications and budgets
• Monitor and report on project progress identifying and mitigating potential cost overruns or delays
• Conduct site visits to assess progress verify quantities and resolve any discrepancies
• Prepare and submit interim payment applications and final accounts in a timely and accurate manner
• Manage variations and claims assessing their financial impact and negotiating settlements
• Ensure compliance with all relevant contractual obligations legislation and company policies
• Provide expert advice on procurement strategies contract law and risk management
• Collaborate effectively with project managers engineers and other stakeholders to achieve project objectives

• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Professional qualification such as MRICS or CIOB is highly advantageous.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in quantity surveying within the construction industry.
• Proven track record of managing costs on large-scale construction projects.
• Proficiency in cost estimating software and MS Project for planning and scheduling.
• Strong understanding of contract administration, including FIDIC, NEC, or JCT forms.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
• High level of analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
• Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of local languages is a significant asset.
