Professional Experience (Must Have)
5 years' Experience In steel industry into Contractor Resource Management
Minimum QualificationsDiploma/Bachelor's
Key Responsibilities 1. Contractor Administration- Manage day-to-day administrative activities related to contractors working within the steel plant.
- Maintain accurate records of all contractors, subcontractors and deployed manpower.
- Coordinate contractor mobilization, deployment and demobilization.
- Ensure contractor personnel are assigned to the approved work areas and activities.
- Maintain contractor-wise manpower and deployment records.
- Verify and maintain contractor documentation, including:
- Company/contractor details
- Employee records
- /pass details
- Training records
- Medical fitness records
- Insurance documents
- Work permits
- Competency/certification records
- Other required statutory documents
- Ensure documents are complete and valid before manpower deployment.
- Follow up with contractors for missing or expired documents.
- Coordinate with Security for contractor access cards and gate entry requirements.
- Coordinate with HSE for safety induction, training and site authorization.
- Ensure contractor employees complete mandatory induction and required training before starting work.
- Maintain records of authorized contractor personnel.
- Monitor daily contractor attendance and manpower deployment.
- Reconcile contractor attendance with actual manpower available at the worksite.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly manpower reports.
- Track absenteeism, replacements and additional manpower requirements.
- Coordinate with contractor supervisors regarding manpower shortages.
- Coordinate with Operations, Maintenance and HSE teams regarding contractor activities.
- Ensure contractors follow approved work schedules and assigned work areas.
- Assist in coordinating work permits and other site requirements.
- Monitor contractor activities and elevate unauthorized work or deviations to the responsible supervisor.
- Ensure contractors comply with company policies, site procedures and applicable safety requirements.
- Coordinate with HSE regarding contractor safety compliance.
- Follow up on expired licenses, certifications, medicals, training and other mandatory requirements.
- Maintain contractor compliance trackers and highlight gaps to management.
- Support contractor administration during plant shutdowns, maintenance campaigns and major projects.
- Coordinate large-scale contractor mobilization and manpower deployment.
- Maintain daily manpower and activity records during shutdown activities.
- Coordinate with Maintenance, Operations, HSE and Security teams to ensure smooth contractor movement and deployment.
- Maintain contractor performance records.
- Track manpower deployment, attendance, compliance and work-related issues.
- Prepare daily, weekly and monthly contractor reports.
- Highlight manpower shortages, documentation gaps, safety concerns and operational issues.
- Escalate repeated contractor non-compliance to the concerned supervisor/manager.
