Job DescriptionThe Construction Manager will provide site-based management and coordination throughout the delivery of a large-scale mixed-use development. Working within AECOM 's Project Management Consultant environment, the position will act as a key interface between contractors, architects, engineers, vendors, and project stakeholders. The role requires strong control of construction progress and the ability to identify emerging delivery issues, coordinate corrective measures, and maintain alignment with approved schedules, budgets, specifications, and quality requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee mixed-use construction activities from pre-construction planning through final completion and handover.
- Develop and manage comprehensive project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
- Coordinate subcontractors, construction teams, and vendors to support efficient project execution.
- Monitor construction progress against approved timelines and budgets and implement corrective actions when required.
- Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, construction regulations, safety requirements, and applicable environmental standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality audits to verify compliance with construction specifications and established standards.
- Prepare and maintain detailed project documentation, reports, and progress updates for stakeholders.
- Identify and analyze project risks and issues and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
- Manage project communications and facilitate effective collaboration between the parties involved in delivery.
- Review and approve change orders, submittals, and relevant construction documentation.
- Monitor compliance with project health, safety, and environmental protocols.
- Maintain effective coordination between contractors, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders throughout construction.
The Construction Manager will operate within a Project Management Consultant capacity, requiring effective oversight of delivery activities while maintaining clear communication between the client-side project organization and construction participants. Strong scheduling, budgeting, cost-control, and risk-management capabilities are central to the position.
