Position Overview AECOM is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer
- Wet Utilities in Abu Dhabi, UAE to support the supervision and delivery of wet utility infrastructure works. The role covers stormwater drainage, sewerage, potable water, irrigation, pipelines, manholes, catch basins, gullies, culverts, and associated networks, with responsibility for construction supervision, technical reviews, inspections, quality control, multidisciplinary coordination, and resolution of site issues.

• Supervise and monitor construction of stormwater drainage, sewerage, potable water, irrigation, and associated wet utility networks.
• Oversee construction of pipelines, manholes, catch basins, gullies, culverts, drainage structures, and related infrastructure.
• Verify that works comply with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, Inspection and Test Plans, and project requirements.
• Review contractor shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs, inspection requests, and other technical documentation.
• Monitor construction progress, workmanship, quality, and compliance with approved project requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, Authorities, stakeholders, and other project disciplines to resolve technical and construction issues.
• Monitor testing and inspection activities for wet utility networks and verify completion of required inspections and approvals.
• Identify technical issues, construction risks, and potential delays and coordinate appropriate corrective actions with the project team.
• Manage interfaces between wet utilities and roads, structures, electrical systems, telecom networks, landscaping, and other infrastructure services.
• Assess site conditions and proposed construction solutions and provide technical recommendations when required.
• Monitor contractor compliance with approved construction methodologies, ITPs, specifications, and quality requirements.
• Maintain accurate records covering site inspections, progress, RFIs, technical issues, and construction activities.
• Participate in site meetings, progress reviews, technical discussions, and multidisciplinary coordination meetings.
• Monitor implementation of applicable health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements on site.

• Bachelor 's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Relevant experience in infrastructure and wet utilities construction.
• Good technical knowledge of stormwater drainage, sewerage, potable water, irrigation networks, and associated infrastructure works.
• Experience in construction supervision, inspection, quality control, and contractor coordination.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, specifications, method statements, ITPs, and technical submissions.
• Experience working on major infrastructure projects is preferred.
• UAE infrastructure and Authority experience is an advantage.
• Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple site activities while working effectively within a multidisciplinary project team.

The Infrastructure Engineer will provide site-level technical oversight across wet utility systems from construction and inspection through testing and approval. The scope includes stormwater, sewerage, potable water, irrigation, pipelines, manholes, catch basins, gullies, culverts, drainage structures, and related infrastructure. Effective interface management is central to the role, particularly where wet utilities interact with roads, structures, electrical and telecom networks, landscaping, and other services.

The engineer will help identify construction conflicts, assess proposed solutions, and maintain progress while protecting technical and quality requirements.
