AECOM is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Inspector
- Wet Utilities to join its infrastructure project team in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The role focuses on field inspection and quality monitoring of stormwater, sewerage, potable water, irrigation, and associated utility networks. The inspector will verify construction against approved technical requirements, witness testing activities, identify non-compliant work, and support the Engineer in maintaining construction quality and progress.

Work Arrangement:
On-site Site Inspection
- Inspect and monitor construction of stormwater, sewerage, potable water, irrigation, and associated wet utility networks.
- Conduct daily site inspections to verify that work complies with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, Inspection and Test Plans, and project requirements.
- Inspect pipelines, manholes, catch basins, gullies, drainage structures, chambers, and associated infrastructure works.
- Review and verify Inspection Requests submitted by the Contractor and confirm that works are ready for inspection.
- Monitor materials, workmanship, installation, bedding, back filling, compaction, and protection of wet utility networks.
- Witness pressure testing, leakage testing, CCTV inspection, and other applicable testing activities.
- Verify pipeline line, level, alignment, slopes, and invert levels together with associated structures.
- Check construction against approved shop drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
- Identify defective or non-compliant work and coordinate corrective actions with the Engineer and Contractor.
- Monitor Contractor compliance with approved method statements, ITPs, and quality requirements.
- Coordinate with surveyors and other disciplines to verify correct setting out, levels, and alignment.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, testing activities, site work, and quality-related issues.
- Participate in site meetings and coordination activities when required.
- Support the Engineer in monitoring construction progress and the quality of completed works.
- Monitor compliance with applicable health, safety, and environmental requirements during site activities.
The position requires practical inspection experience across wet utility infrastructure. Particular attention will be given to the installation and testing of stormwater drainage, sewerage, potable water, and irrigation systems, including pipelines, chambers, manholes, drainage structures, and related works. Accurate verification of alignment, slopes, invert levels, installation quality, compaction, testing, and inspection documentation will form an important part of day-to-day site responsibilities.
Qualificationsand Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor 's degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- Relevant experience in wet utilities and infrastructure construction.
- Good knowledge of stormwater, sewerage, potable water, irrigation networks, and associated infrastructure works.
- Experience inspecting pipelines, manholes, drainage structures, chambers, and related infrastructure.
