Position: Commercial Manager - Joinery/Fit Out
Job description
Our Tier 1 Contracting Client is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to oversee the commercial and contractual performance of their Joinery Division. The successful candidate will manage project costs, contracts, procurement support, and commercial risk across a portfolio of high-end fit-out and joinery projects.
Key
Duties & Responsibilities Lead all commercial activities for mainly joinery and some fit out projects, ensuring profitability and effective cost control throughout the project lifecycle.Manage contract administration, including variations, claims, extension of time submissions, and commercial negotiations with clients and subcontractors.Prepare, review, and monitor project budgets, forecasts, cash flow reports, and monthly commercial performance reviews.Support project teams with procurement strategies, subcontractor management, and value engineering initiatives to optimize project outcomes.Identify and mitigate commercial risks while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations, company procedures, and industry best practices.Candidate Requirements & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management, Construction Management, or a related discipline.Minimum 10 years' commercial management experience within the joinery, interiors or specialist contracting sectors.Proven track record managing commercial aspects of large-scale fit-out and joinery projects in the UAE or wider GCC region.Strong knowledge of construction contracts, cost management, claims, procurement, and contract administration.Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, leadership, and commercial reporting skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
