We are seeking an experienced Project Director with aCivil Engineering background to lead the construction and delivery of depotand terminal facilities for a major high-speed rail project in the UAE.
The role requires proven main-contractor leadership,with accountability for construction execution, commercial performance,programme, quality, safety and handover.
Key Responsibilities
- Leaddelivery from design coordination and mobilisation through construction,commissioning support and final handover.
- Directcivil, structural and building works, including depot workshops,maintenance facilities, operational buildings, yards, utilities and external infrastructure.
- Manage project budgets, cash flow, procurement, subcontractors, resources and construction milestones.
- Coordinatecivil interfaces with track, MEP, rail systems, depot equipment and operational requirements.
- Lead client, consultant, JV partner and authority coordination, ensuring timelyapprovals and resolution of delivery issues.
- Overseecontractual obligations, variations, claims, risk mitigation and recoveryprogrammes.
- DriveHSE, quality and team performance across all construction activities.
- Bachelor'sdegree in Civil Engineering.
- Typically 20+ years of construction experience, including 5+ years as Project Director or equivalent on major rail or infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated delivery of rail depots, maintenance workshops or rail terminalfacilities.
- Strong main-contractor experience, with direct responsibility for budgets,subcontractors and site execution.
- Proven knowledge of civil/structural works, building construction and interfaces with railway systems.
- Strongcontract administration, commercial management and stakeholder leadership skills.
- UAE/GCCexperience preferred; high-speed rail experience is an advantage.
- PMP or equivalent project management certification preferred.
